Shops are open on Easter Monday , 1/4/2024 and Easter 2024 , which is Sunday 31/3/2024. In accordance with the amendments to the Trade Act (ZT-1B and ZT-1C), shops are clos on Sundays and public holidays. Easter 2024 and Easter Monday 2024 are public holidays. That is why most shops in Slovenia are clos on these two days. However, there are exceptions that allow shops to be open on Easter , 31.3.2024 and Easter Monday , 1.4.2024 . The list of stores that will be open can be found below.

Shops open Easter 2024 and Easter Monday 2024
As an exception, the Trade Act states that shops may also be open on Sundays and public holidays. These are specific exceptions that, in addition to the ban, were introduc by amendment ZT-1B and then supplement by amendment ZT-1C. The latter basically transferr into law the exceptions that were regulat in the Act on intervention measures to help the economy and tourism in mitigating the consequences of the covid-19 epidemic (ZIUPGT).
The exceptions specifi by ZT-1 are:
stores with a sales area of up target industry database to 200 m2 at petrol stations, border crossings, ports, airports, railway and bus stations and in hospitals .
small shops with an area of up to 200 m2 in which, on Sundays and holidays, the work is carri out by trade operators or legal representatives or procurators of a legal entity engag in commercial activity. Pupils, students and pensioners can also work in these shops.

Information centers and museums can determine their own working hours, as the amendment states ” Notwithstanding the third मेरी श्रीमतीले भुटेको सुँगुरको कलेजो अलि तितो छ भनी सो paragraph of this article, the operating hours of shops at international airports, tourist information centers and museums can be determine without limitation ”
Basically, this means that some stores by lists may be open during the holidays. They must be up to 200 m2 in size and be locat at gas stations, border crossings, ports, railway and bus stations, hospitals, airports, museums and tourist information centers. Also, open shops can be up to 200 m2 in size, in which the owners or representatives, as well as pupils, students and pensioners work.
